THE HEPBURN LIBRARY

The Hepburn Apartments in the Kalorama neighborhood od Washington DC is a 12-story, 195 unit property developed by Lowe Enterprises and designed by internationally-renown architect Beyer Blinder Belle.  The Bandura Team worked closely with the Lowe team to create a unique amenity space for the residents that elevated the typical apartment lobby to the highest level.  In creating the Hepburn Library we curated a collection equal to the tastes and interests of the people who inhabit this spectacular apartment building in the heart of the city.  A custom record player console was fabricated from scratch by Wren Hi-Fi out of San Diego in collaboration with the Bandura team.  To accompany this special feature we collected 50 of the all-time greatest albums into two special carry cases that can be checked out by residents from the concierge.  In addition, we stocked the book case with unique artifacts from around the globe and a special collection of books pulled from the New York Times all-time best sellers list.  Custom dust jackets were created for each book to highlight the number of weeks it remained on the best seller list.
