KATIE FISCHER
One of the original Babes, Katie works remotely from Wilmington, NC, where she has shown that no amount of distance can stop her priceless contributions to BANDURA. With a knack for handling renovations at every stage, she knows when to be a tenacious problem-solver and when to just go with her gut. She encourages clients to dream big with her artistic vision when it’s worth the investment as much as she assures them that the team will find the very best cost-effective options. Don’t let her ever-changing hairstyle fool you, this woman consistently delivers.
JENNIFER
FARRIS
2016 was the year Jennifer decided to take her 20 years of professional life lessons into her own hands and breathe new life into what the industry could be, forming Bandura Design. A year later, she began building her team. Her vision to bring a truly healthy work-life balance to designers through granting them freedom and flexibility in their process has translated into unparalleled enthusiasm for the work being produced. The reward has proven to greatly outweigh the risk.
Jennifer is known for her work ethic and creativity, and she brings together technical expertise with a focus on budgets and schedules to make a project practically successful. Emotionally, she brings a spirit and certain verve to the client experience, leaving them feeling less like they’re glad that it’s over, and more like they’re ready to do it all again.
SAMANTHA
KAY
Samantha is a Day One Babe, coming to BANDURA during its infancy. With a background in biology, Samantha's interest in the intricate details of life transitioned seamlessly into an appreciation for the nuances of interior design. Her instinctive eye for good design paired with her scientific approach to problem solving create spaces that are impeccably thoughtful. Samantha brings a boundless curiosity to every project with a bright personality that lets clients know that they are in good hands. She has a fearless approach to every task and her ability to adapt allows projects to be pushed to new heights and ensures the job will be done right.

NODJI MAOUYO
Since 2021, Nodji has been powering around the office in stilettos and curated ensembles. Her work is no less sartorial, reflected in her meticulous processes every step of the way. Her determination to create a space that walks the line between beautiful and practical is on par with her zeal for making that line absolutely perfect. She signs her work with a little delightful surprise in every project. From concept development to construction documentation, and from custom lighting to custom furniture, she enjoys the hard work that comes with gleaning the right solution. Nodji is on concept, in budget, and on time.
ROSIE
MAYNE
If everyone could see through Rosie colored glasses, the world would be a happier place! Her unbridled optimism and thirst for knowledge has lifted the entire office since 2021 and reaffirms why we chose to be designers. Her specialties include FFE selections that bring function and tailored aesthetics to every space she touches, and pulling finishes that bring her projects to the next level. A New Jersey transplant, Rosie plans to take the DC design world by storm with every happy hour and hotel tour she can find. She is never afraid to ask questions and is always working toward honing her design skills.
DANIELLE
THORNBURG
She’s the administrator, the communicator, the purchaser, the warehouse coordinator, the Mother of the Office…she is Danielle, and she runs a tight ship. Shifting from greenery installations, Danielle became a Babe in 2021 to take up the heavy reins of office manager. She is a perfectly balanced professional, between her sunny disposition and her ability to get a group of movers to get their heads in the game (aka herding cats).
JESSICA
WILLIAMS
Even though she’s the newest Babe, there’s nothing green about Jessica’s skill set. Jessica joined us in 2023 from chilly New England with a decade of experience that keeps BANDURA growing and learning. She leaves no stone unturned as she strives to create timeless, elevated spaces. Jessica contributes a particularly conscientious point of view that is an asset on any project, as she assesses what is both best and most beautiful for a space. You may think you have the skill to zero in on a detail, but then you meet someone like Jessica and the bar resets.
CARLY
BILLAK
Meet Carly, the self-proclaimed culinary artist, who's always searching for the next best gluten-free recipe. Her commitment to living a gluten-free lifestyle influences her design, by composing functional and creative environments for each project with the mentality that the space needs to serve all individuals. Her innovative approach and meticulous attention to detail is what inspires her. Ask Carly about her favorite country music artist for the current week because she's probably thinking about it anyway.
JULIE
FARRIS
After 26 years running the office of a small Chrisitan School, and then seeing her four children graduate, and THEN 17 years running the Production Office of a family-run Wholesale Nursery, Julie Farris decided to retire. Two months later, in October 2022, she was persuaded to come out of retirement and join the team of Bandura Design part-time. Julie brings administrative experience to Bandura and is happy to take some of those duties from her daughter, Jennifer, so that she can concentrate more on the creative side of the business. Julie loves being a “Bandura Babe” and helping out wherever needed.
